Why can't I buy a system over the phone or online?
Security systems shouldn’t be one size fits all. That’s why we insist on sending one of our security experts to your property instead of just showing up to install. This way you end up with a customized security system that suits you and your property’s needs.
What are the benefits of having a contract?
The agreement (contract) allows Zen Security and you, the customer, to have a mutual understanding of the scope of work, services, and costs. The agreements have a specific term: residentially, the standard term is 3 years. This allows us to perform your professional installation well below our up-front costs and start protecting your family, home, or business right away at a competitive monthly rate.
Where can I get my NFPA 72 and 25 inspection forms?
Zen Security has invested significant resources in developing an industrial electronic inspection testing system. Our dedicated, factory-trained fire inspectors utilize tablets to test every required device. These test results are verified in real-time by our Central Station. If all devices pass, the results are electronically imported into the state-mandated NFPA forms. These forms are immediately available for download from your password-protected, personal account.
How can I change my Emergency Notification (EN) list?
Simply call 1-800-470-1000. Most changes can be made over the telephone. If you need to submit a request in writing, we can walk you through the process and let you know what information is required. It’s extremely important that you keep your EN list current.
How can I test my system?
Simply call us at 1-800-945-1338 and let us know. We will place your account in “test mode.” You can then either send a manual test signal or test a specific device, and we will provide you with the results and make any recommendations.
Can I arm and disarm my system from my smartphone or tablet?
Yes, you can! We offer a service called Total Connect that connects a free app for your mobile device.
Why do I have to pay an installation price for a basic alarm system?
You’ll hear other companies offer “free” systems, but what does that really mean? It usually means the cost will catch up with you later. Along with our reasonable installation fee comes a 90-day satisfaction guarantee, a one-year warranty, and 24-hour emergency repair service. Now that’s the real bargain.
